How to use ventilators in ICU?
Ventilator is very important in ICU.
The following are the tips of using medical ventilators in ICU:
1. coupling power, oxygen pipes, compressed air pipes (or test pressure of oxygen)
2. gas pipeline connection, heated humidifier water
3. Set the ventilator ventilation parameters used
Breathing pattern: control or auxiliary (A / C or SIMV)
Tidal volume: 350 ~ 600ml, respiratory rate 16 to 20 beats / min
Respiratory ratio: 1:1.5 ~ 2.5, oxygen concentration of 30% to 50% (or set the minute ventilation,

4. Set the ventilator monitoring and alarm parameters
5. Turn on the ventilator power switch, observe the working status of the ventilator

7. Clear airway secretions, adjust the fixed ventilation mask, endotracheal tube or tracheostomy tube for the airbag inflator
8. Removal simulated lung: the gas pipeline with ventilation mask, endotracheal intubation or tube connections, auscultation of lungs breath sounds are symmetrical, testing artificial airway patency and closed the case
9. Observe the ventilator is working, whether the patient's life indicators tend to be normal.
